BusySync wins Macworld Best of Show Award!
BusyMac exhibited at Macworld Expo last week where we announced and demonstrated BusySync 2.0. The show was a huge success and far exceeded our expectations. Much to our surprise, Macworld Magazine selected BusySync as a winner of its 2008 Macworld Best of Show Award!
We were one of many developers exhibiting in the developer pavilion next to Apple's booth. The location was excellent, the show was well attended, and the time passed by quickly as we gave non-stop demos.
It was wonderful to meet with so many existing and prospective customers and to receive such unanimous praise and appreciation. Apparently, there are a lot of people with the need to share calendars that have been searching for a solution like BusySync.

And, it was an excellent opportunity to meet with members of the press and demonstrate the product to them. Here's a sampling of the press coverage we received as a result:
- ars technica
- Macintosh News Network
- MacRumors
- MacUser
- Macworld
- Seattle Times
- The Unofficial Apple Weblog
BusySync is fun to demo. We showed how you can add an event on one Mac and it would show up within seconds on the other Mac via Bonjour. Everyone who saw it immediately understood how they could benefit from it. And the new Google Calendar syncing feature in BusySync 2.0 that we were demonstrating for the first time was a huge hit. We now have tons of people anxiously awaiting the public beta release due out at the end of this month.
On that note, we'd better get back to work so we don't keep you waiting much longer for the public beta...
BRAVO BusyMac!!!!!!!!
Let´s go BusySync 2.0!

As near as I can tell, this is what iCal was already supposed to do — but didn't. Thanks for supplying it.

Bummer about the "$20 (or $25 for 2.0) per machine" policy. Makes sense to charge per machine in a multi-user environment, but what about the legion of us who simply want to keep the calendars on our desktops and laptops in sync (and don't want to pay for the ripoff .Mac service)? That means two licenses for a simple two-way sync. That's $40 (or $50 for 2.0). What a downer.
Makes .Mac's $70 (through Amazon) look more tempting, with its additional functionality over BusySync...

I bought your app just because Plaxo is totally unreliable for gcal sync, I hope that it'll work well with busysync2;-)

We're very close to releasing the public beta and will send out an email to everyone on our beta mailing list when it's ready.

There probably won't be any videos created until we get closer to releasing the final product. But the User Guide has been completely rewritten with screenshots and info on how to sync with Google Calendar and will be available with the public beta.
