BusySync 2.0b7 has been released, the latest public beta with support for iCal to Google Calendar synchronization. Here's what's new:
- Calendar colors can now be changed independently between iCal and Google
- Calendar names can be renamed in iCal or Google to be different than the source
- BusySync will now allow you to delete meetings when you are not the Organizer
- Recurrence exceptions are stored in the same fashion as iCal to appease the Conflict Resolver
- Fixed bug that caused edits to be lost on Tiger if you moved an event to a different calendar
- Fixed bug where events were deleted if you moved them to a different calendar, then deleted the source calendar
- Lengthened retry interval for Wide-Area Bonjour failures (Back to My Mac)
- Various Google syncing improvements
- Crash Reports are now captured properly on Leopard
- Fixed rare crash involving NSURLConnection
- Improved error logging
You can install it by opening the BusySync prefpane, selecting the General tab, and clicking the Check Now button. Or download it here:
Hey -- Out of curiosity did you folks resolve the issue where notifications from Google are sent out by default (even if not activated) for calendars being synced to them? This was happening when my Entourage calendar was synced to GCal. Google would send email reminders to everyone on my work appointments -- had to disable because of that.
Also, any idea how nice BusySync plays with Entourage 2008 at this point?

first off, great product! great job! keep up the fantastic work.
secondly, i wonder if you plan to allow more than a single gcal account configuration?

Anthony -- That issue is still open and we plan to address it in 2.0b8. It's a result of syncing events to Google that have attendees attached. Google will automatically notify all attendees of the meeting 24 hours in advance. We'll be adding a preference setting in BusySync 2.0b8 that allows you to NOT sync attendees, to work around this issue.
Regarding Entourage 2008: its support of Sync Services is very limited, just like with Entourage 2004. It will work in certain situations, but we don't fully support/endorse using it with BusySync. Your mileage may vary.
PowerToCocoa -- We only support syncing with one Google Account. But you can setup your Google Account to share with your other Google Accounts, thereby syncing all of them with BusySync. You can learn more here:

thank you for prompt reply!
and of course you are perfectly correct, that is exactly what i did - shared accounts between gcals and that works great. and having thought it through, it makes perfect sense to configure sharing at gcal level, too.
thanks again, i've purchased two copies and we're already using them.
to others: highly recommended product.

THANK YOU.
After struggling to get GCalDaemon working, trying to live with the limitations of Plaxo, and waffling over the insane over-the-top cost of Spanning Sync...I have finally found my answer.
I just downloaded the 30 Day Demo and the moment I get home I am buying the full thing.
Finally a solution that just works. Thank you.
