This is real a great product. I tested it yesterday and immidiately purchased it afterwards.
So what would You suggest how to sync Address the same way? I guess it would be a great idea for BusySync Address :-)

Yes, we are planning to offer Address Book syncing over the LAN as well as with Google Contacts. We plan to start on that project soon, now that we have completed BusySync 2.0.

Great work guys. Looking forward to the Address syncing - hope you guys can keep the group data (or "tags") to sync seamlessly. (contacts in both Gmail and Address Book, can have multiple "groups" or "tags" assigned to them).

I bought this almost sight unseen and it is fantastic. So this is how I use it. Mainly I use iCal at home and set stuff up then synced to my ipod Touch At work I used to duplicate my Google Calendar entries and then use Google Sync to sync my Blackberry (MarkSync just doesn't seem to like my Mac Book Pro and my Blackberry Curve). Fine but too much duplication. NOW! I enter on my Blackberry out and about and it auto syncs with Gcal which auto syncs with iCal and then ends up on my ipod. Or actually if I input in to any one of those links (ipod, ical, gcal, BB) they all sync up - the later three automatically. Heaven. Pure Heaven.

Hi, I love this product, specially because it offers a great tool for syncing with google calendar. Tried it for 2 weeks and bought it.
You should start working on contact sync between Address Book and Gmail.

Hey guys. Great work - unlike two others I've tried, BusySync just works...
My question is this:
In Google Calendar (GCal for short), Google gives you a default calendar that cannot be deleted, disabled or even hidden. Since I use OS X's iCal as my master calendar, I now end up with a blank, default calendar in GCal, and a second (synced by BusySync) that holds the events I'm actually interested in.
The best I've been able to do is uncheck the default GCal calendar and rename it "(Disabled)". My mild OCD aside, the trouble with this is that when I create an event in GCal, it still wants to put it in the *default* calendar automatically, in which case it would never be synced back to iCal.
The odds of Google offering an option to make another calendar the default are not favourable.
It is feasible for BusySync to provide an option that would allow one of the locally synced calendars to use Google's default calendar, instead of creating a new one in GCal?
Cheers

dr -- You can subscribe to your Google primary calendar with BusySync so that it syncs with iCal. Then you can use it as your primary calendar in iCal, and it will sync with Google.
If you have a calendar in iCal that you'd like to merge with the primary calendar in Google, you can do so by following the steps in this FAQ:

I love busysync and I'm thinking of buying. My only question is: if I buy now, will the address book syncing be a free upgrade?
Posted by: Christian | May 04, 2008 at 11:28 AM
I do hope it is included as a free upgrade. I would, of course, prefer to keep using BusySync, but we already know that Spanning Sync will definitely be integrating addresses into their product.

Yes, we are planning to offer Address Book syncing over the LAN as well as with Google Contacts. We are working on it now and expect it to be completed in the fall. Pricing has not yet been determined.

Hi guys, great work! I just would like to add a request - why don't you just support sync of the iCal calendar created by Entourage 2008 to a selected Google calendar? Just a one-to-one match. I have tried the method of exporting the iCal, deleting and reimporting, then choosing to add events to the Google synced calendar, but as soon as Entourage ran again, it created another Entourage calendar on iCal :(

Excellent! Congrats on the release folks -- I look forward to purchasing shortly.
One question for you -- are you still having any issues with Google locking down calendars due to too many updates? I've had this happen before, where -- particularly with initial syncing -- we get locked out of making edits from gCal itself. My wife was a bit worried about this, and I want to allay her fears a bit.
Any info on this would be highly appreciated.

Anthony -- Yes, some users with large calendars can run into Google quota errors on their initial sync due to too many events being synced. We have developed a fix for this in an upcoming update, by allowing users to just sync recent events (e.g. from the last x months) to minimize the amount of data they are syncing with Google. We expect to release the update in the next week or two.

Well done, Guys. I've been using BusySync 2.0 for 30 days now. It's reliably synced my 10 (or so) Google Calendars with iCal, and thus allowed me to work exclusively in iCal, while still sharing my data with others via Google Calendar. I ran into a few hiccups with the initial setup, but once it was up and running, I no longer had to give it any thought. It just worked. My trial period just ran out, and I've happily purchased a license and recommended BusySync to my coworkers as well.

Any news on the progress of Address Book syncing? Would love to start using that!

Address Book syncing is still in the works but is taking longer than planned. We don't have an ETA yet. Sorry.

I really hope that the development of BusyCal will not delay Address Book syncing too much...
