Today is BusySync's second birthday!
We've come a long way in the two years since the first release of BusySync.
BusySync 1.0 allowed iCal users to share calendars with each other over a local area network with full read/write access. BusySync 2.0 added the ability for users to sync iCal with Google Calendar.
As we enhanced and refined BusySync over the years, we came to realize that we couldn't make it much better without having full control over both the syncing engine (BusySync) and user interface (iCal). That's when we set our sights on a higher goal — to build a desktop calendar that combines the functionality of BusySync and iCal in one integrated app.
I'm happy to report that we reached that goal with the recent release of BusyCal 1.0. BusyCal wouldn't be here today if it weren't for the groundbreaking work and years of refinement that went into BusySync.
Happy Birthday BusySync and thanks for giving birth to BusyCal!
And we--your users--are so happy you did! Congratulations. Lovin' BusyCal.

I've been a long time user (and huge fan) of Now Up to Date and Contact. The whole debacle that has developed with the newest version (Now X) has been such a nightmare. I have 2 licenses but don't even use it.
BusyCal has been such a dream in contrast. Thank you so much for doing this right. BusyCal's simplicity and functionality is great. Love the quick and constant improvements/updates. I haven't needed support, but have a friend that has. He said the response time was phenomenal.
Anyway, happy birthday and keep up the great work! You can tell you care and are passionate about what you do.

Is BusySync compatible to BusyCal, i.e. can I use BusySync on one Mac and BusyCal on another one and still sync via Bonjour?

Yes, BusySync and BusyCal are compatible with each other. You can run BusySync on one computer and BusyCal on another computer, and sync them with each other.
