Messages "Add Contact" opens Apple Contacts (not BusyContacts)

When you click Add Contact in macOS Messages.app, macOS opens the built‑in Contacts.app UI. BusyContacts can’t override that system behavior.

Workarounds

1) Create the contact in BusyContacts manually

  1. In Messages, copy the phone number or email address.
  2. In BusyContacts, create a new contact and paste it into the appropriate field.
