A task that was due earlier today still shows under “Today” (not “Overdue”)
In BusyCal’s Task List, the Overdue section (when sorting/grouping by due date) is primarily based on the date becoming past-due, not the due time within the current day.
That means a task due at 9:00 AM can still remain under Today for the rest of the day, and it will move to Overdue once the date rolls over.
Why BusyCal does this
Many users use “Today” as a working list for the day. Treating tasks as overdue the moment the clock passes their due time can cause tasks to jump sections throughout the day and make the Today list harder to manage.
Tip
If you want past-due tasks to stay visible in your working view, consider enabling Carry forward uncompleted Tasks in Task settings so older tasks remain visible on the current date.
